Costa Rica holds a place in my heart

Costa Rica is a country alive with color, texture and motion. Everywhere you point your lens, there’s a story unfolding. Costa Rica is home to one of the richest eco-systems on the planet, with over 500,000 species of wildlife, toucans, monkeys, sloths and a myriad of exotic birds.

It’s said a picture is worth a thousand words and here is your chance to prove it. A Nobel laureate would struggle to describe the things you’ll see when you join one of our tours.

The light! In Costa Rica it is pure magic. A morning mist catches the first of the sun, natural spotlights dip and weave through a leafy canopy. Afternoon rains leave a soft focus on everything – you can almost hear the vegetation growing. And your eye can see the color everywhere. Take the shot. Catch the moment.

From dense cloud-covered forests in the highlands to tangled lowland rainforests, Costa Rica gives photographers new and unique challenges. There is a rawness to the terrain which affords visual opportunities at every turn.

Each daily trek offers a fresh chance to capture something extraordinary. A chance to take that picture that will never leave you.

Why I Choose Digital over Film

Why I Choose Digital over Film When I first began taking photographs in the late 60s, film was the only option. Not only that, but for an impoverished student, DIY developing was the only game in town. I remember the smell of the developer, the ritual of waiting for negatives
